Overdraft Manager

We understand life is busy. Forgetting to record a check or other debit transaction can easily happen to anyone. An overdraft occurs when you do not have enough money in your account to cover a payment or withdrawal you authorized. American Heritage Bank’s Overdraft Manager service can help make sure your transactions will be paid when your funds are running a little low.
Overdraft Manager can help: reduce unanticipated fees associated with being overdrawn, eliminate the risk of “returned check” fees from merchants or retailers, and ensure your checks and other debit transactions are paid promptly. Our Ways to Reduce Overdrafts information can help you better understand how you can limit overdrafts on your account.
Overdraft Manager is a standard feature available on American Heritage Bank personal checking accounts. Account holders also have the option of adding Premium coverage. There is no fee to enroll in either type of coverage; a fee only occurs if you do not have enough money in your account to cover a transaction. Both Standard and Premium limits can cover up to $400.00 of overdrafts.
Standard Overdraft Manager pays these items:
  • Checks you write and checks initiated by online Bill Pay
  • ACH electronic payments for bills automatically deducted from your account
  • Recurring debit card transactions
Premium Overdraft Manager pays these items:
  • All items included in Standard Overdraft Manager
  • Everyday debit card purchases
  • Cash withdrawals from ATMs
  • One-time online debit card payments

Important Overdraft Manager Information

You may elect to not participate in Overdraft Manager. Overdraft Manager is a discretionary service offered as a convenience; we reserve the right not to pay an overdraft for you at any time, even though your account is in good standing and even though we may have previously paid overdrafts for you. A fee of $29.50 will be assessed for each debit transaction presented against your account in excess of the available balance. You must “opt in” to access your Overdraft Manager limit with your everyday debit card purchases and ATM transactions. Your account must have a positive balance at least once every 30 days.
