Welcome to American Heritage Bank!

We know you will have many questions regarding the transition to American Heritage Bank.  We understand and are here to help make this switch as seamless as possible.  Be watching for additional correspondence from us prior to the system migration weekend, scheduled for September 18-20, 2020.

At this time, please continue banking as usual, including using your checks, as there is no change to the way you use your accounts.  Further information regarding additional services will be provided in the coming weeks.

Q: What is the date of the transition to American Heritage Bank?

Both Peoples Bank branches will close at 4:00 pm on Friday, September 18, 2020, and will remain closed on Saturday.  On Monday, September 21, 2020, the branches will reopen as American Heritage Bank.

Q: Will my account number change?

In the event a change is necessary, American Heritage will communicate directly with you.  You will receive additional correspondence with information regarding your new AHB account type.


Q: Will there be changes to my account?

American Heritage Bank offers a variety of account products to suit our customers’ various banking needs.  Please watch for a follow-up letter that will address your specific account changes, as well as account disclosures.  American Heritage Bank also offers the following features and services:

Q: Will I need new checks?

You may continue using your remaining supply of Peoples Bank checks until they run out.  If you choose to reorder checks using a vendor outside of American Heritage Bank, please make sure you update your bank information with that vendor, including using American Heritage Bank’s routing number (103100616).


Q: What happens to my direct deposits and withdrawals?

To ensure you have a seamless transition, after September 18, 2020, please notify direct depositors and withdrawers to begin using American Heritage Bank’s routing number, 103100616, along with your existing account number for your direct deposits and withdrawals.  We will be happy to provide forms to assist you with this process.


Q: When will I receive my monthly statement?

All checking and savings account statements will be processed on September 18, 2020.  These statements will not be available via Peoples Bank online banking.  You will receive a printed statement mailed to your current address.  Your checking statements from American Heritage Bank will process on a monthly basis and savings statements will process quarterly.


Q: Will my deposits be insured by the FDIC?

Yes, your deposits will continue to be FDIC insured up to the applicable amounts by law.

Q: Will I receive a new debit card?

Yes.  You will receive a new American Heritage Bank MasterCard debit card with a new card number the week of September 8, 2020.  If you have recurring payments set up using your current debit card, you will need to contact the vendor (i.e. AT&T, Dish Network, etc.) to provide them with your new AHB debit card number for any payments due after September 18, 2020.


Q: Should I continue using my Peoples Bank debit card?

Your current Peoples Bank debit card will continue to work through Sunday, September 20, 2020.  Please begin using your new AHB debit card on Monday, September 21, 2020.  Attention: Please plan to have additional cash or other payment methods available for the short time your cards will be in transition.


Q: Will I need to activate my new debit card?

Yes.  Your new debit card will arrive with instructions on how to activate your card and set your PIN.


Q: Will my debit card PIN change?

You will choose your PIN when activating the card through the automated phone system.


Q: Will I be charged to use my debit card at ATMs?

You will not be charged for withdrawals made at AHB ATMs.  Making cash withdrawals at ATMs NOT owned by American Heritage Bank will result in a $1.50 foreign ATM fee, in addition to any fee the ATM’s processor may charge.  Participating TransFund ATM withdrawals are surcharge free (meaning, there is no additional surcharge at the ATM by the ATM owner, though a foreign ATM fee from AHB would still apply).  Download the TransFund ATM Locator app on your smart device to find TransFund ATMs near you.


Q: What are the daily transaction limits on my AHB debit card?

Q: How can I help prevent fraudulent activity on my debit card?

Our SecurLOCK Equip app is an easy-to-use mobile app that puts the power to protect your debit card in your own hands!  Simply use the app to turn your card on and off in real time as needed, and customize your card by setting permissions.  You can also prevent fraudulent debit card transactions in real time with alerts sent directly to your mobile phone.   

Q: How long can I use my Peoples Bank online banking and mobile services?

Your Peoples Bank online banking service will change to view-only mode on Friday afternoon, September 18, at 2pm.  Access to the Peoples Bank online banking system will cease on Monday, September 21, 2020.  Please save and/or print any online account statements and history prior to this date.

Peoples Bank Bill Pay access will remain available through 2pm on Friday, September 18.  Pending payments will process through Friday, September 18, 2020.

Peoples Bank mobile deposit will remain available through 2pm on Friday, September 18.


Q: Will I need to enroll in online banking with American Heritage Bank?

If you are a current Peoples Bank online banking customer and have logged in within the last year, you will be automatically enrolled in American Heritage Bank’s Digital Banking Suite.  If you are not a current Peoples Bank online banking customer, you may enroll in Digital Banking with American Heritage Bank on or after Monday, September 21, 2020, by visiting, clicking LOGIN, and selecting Enroll Now, or by visiting your local branch.

You will receive additional information the week of 9/14/20 regarding American Heritage Bank’s Digital Banking Suite (mobile banking, eStatements, bill pay, mobile deposit, etc.).


Q: As a Peoples Bank business customer, can I continue to process remote deposit, ACH, and/or payroll files?

Yes.  You will be contacted by one of our Business Resource Specialists with detailed information regarding our Cash Management services.  We will work to schedule training in conjunction with your first file after September 21. 2020.  If you have not been contacted by us by Wednesday, September 16, 2020, please contact us at (918) 224-3210 and ask to speak with a Business Resource Specialist.


Q: Will my online banking automatic transfers carry over to American Heritage Bank’s Digital Banking Suite?

Yes, automatic online banking transfers will transfer to AHB’s Digital Banking Suite.  

Q: Will my bill pay payees and scheduled payments be available in AHB's Digital Banking Suite?

Yes, your bill pay payees and any scheduled payments (9/21/20 and after) will be available to you once you log in to AHB's Digital Banking Suite.  Please verify this information for accuracy as soon as possible. 


Q: Does AHB offer eStatements?

Yes, eStatements are available.  Verify or complete enrollment via our Digital Banking Suite using a desktop or the AHB mobile app.  Peoples Bank customers enrolling by 10/18/20 will have 18 months of prior statements available once eStatements are converted.

The system conversion to American Heritage Bank is scheduled for the weekend of Friday, September 18, through Sunday, September 20.  Please make sure you have taken the necessary steps to modify your financial institution choice to American Heritage Bank within your Intuit product.  Please select from the instructions below that reflect the version of Intuit you are currently using. 

The conversion instructions reference two Action Dates:

1st Action Date: September 18, 2020 

A data file backup and a final transaction download should be completed by this date from your current online banking system.

2nd Action Date: September 21, 2020

Complete the deactivate/reactivate of your online banking connection to ensure that you get your current Quicken or QuickBooks accounts set up with the new connection to American Heritage Bank.

Important Information

Intuit aggregation services (Express Web Connect) will be interrupted for up to 3-5 business days. Intuit product users are encouraged to download a QFX/QBO file during this outage. The following services will not work during the outage:

 You should have received a letter with your AHB Digital Banking login information .  Please take a moment to carefully review the downloaded transactions after completing the change and confirm the downloaded information is correct.


Q: Will my loan payment change?

No.  Your loan payment will remain the same.


Q: Will I need to mail my loan payment to a different address?

Yes.  Loan payments made after September 18, 2020, may be dropped off at any of our branch locations or they can be mailed to:

Q: Will I continue to receive payment coming due notices for my loan?

If you have been receiving notices of loan payments coming due, you will continue to receive those notices from AHB.


Q: My loan payment is automatically deducted from my deposit account.  Will that service continue?

Yes.  Your automatic payments will continue as usual, on the same schedule.

Q: How do I renew my Certificate of Deposit (CD) or Individual Retirement Account (IRA)?

Your Peoples Bank Certificate of Deposit and/or IRA will retain its current terms and conditions until maturity.  AHB will mail a notice when your CD or IRA is due for maturity.   

If you have an IRA Savings account, please expect to receive more information in the coming weeks.


Q: How often will I receive statements for my CD and IRA accounts?

American Heritage Bank does not send monthly statements for CDs or IRAs.  However, you will receive maturity notices.


Q: Can I add to my CD or IRA at any time?

Funds may be added to a CD at maturity only.  Contributions to an IRA may be made at any time up to the annual contribution allowance amount as determined by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).


Q: Will I continue to receive separate Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) notices for my IRA accounts?

Yes.  American Heritage Bank will send an annual RMD notice to applicable customers.

Q: Can I use any American Heritage Bank location?

Yes, beginning Monday, September 21, 2020, you may visit any American Heritage Bank location to conduct your banking transactions.  Locations can be found on our website at


Q: Will our banking hours change?

Yes, beginning September 21, 2020, the hours of operation at the 4th and Lewis branch will be:

Q: Does American Heritage Bank have a 24-hour telephone banking service?

AHB's OnCall Banking Service is a free automated telephone banking service offering 24-hour access to your account information. You may continue calling (833) 662-2626 or (918) 227-BANK (918 227-2265), to find answers to questions about your checking, savings or loan account balances.  You can also transfer funds between checking and savings accounts with the same ownership.  This service will be available to you beginning Tuesday, September 22, 2020.  During your initial call, you will be prompted to establish a new Access Code.
